What Is Ganbanyoku Sauna?
Ganbanyoku is a Japanese stone sauna where you relax on gently heated mineral slabs. Unlike a traditional sauna, it does not use very high temperatures or intense overheating. Instead, it offers gentle, even warmth and a comfortable way to rest.
During the session, you lie comfortably on a warm stone surface, wrapped in a towel or sheet, and allow your body to relax gradually. It is a good choice for people looking for peace, privacy and a calm form of recovery.
At Folga Floating Centre, the Ganbanyoku Sauna is located in a separate private room designed for one person. This allows you to relax without other guests, in a quiet and unhurried atmosphere.

The Ganbanyoku Session

When you arrive at Folga Floating Centre, we will calmly explain everything before the session. You will receive a towel or sheet to wrap around yourself while you relax.
You will then enter a private room with the Ganbanyoku Sauna. During the session, you lie on gently heated stone slabs and rest in silence and mild warmth. You do not need to do anything — simply give yourself time, relax your body and allow your mind to slow down.
A standard standalone sauna session lasts 60 minutes. A shorter 30-minute option is also available. When combined with floating, the sauna session lasts 30 minutes.
Sauna After Floating
Ganbanyoku Sauna is the perfect complement to a floating session. After floating, your body is already relaxed and your mind is calm. A short sauna session helps you stay in that peaceful state a little longer before returning to your daily routine.
When combined with floating, the sauna session lasts 30 minutes. It is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to warm the body gently, relax even more deeply and extend the feeling of wellbeing after leaving the float cabin.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
How Is Ganbanyoku Sauna Different from a Traditional Sauna?
Ganbanyoku is a Japanese stone sauna where you relax on gently heated mineral slabs. The experience is milder than in many traditional saunas. Instead of very high temperatures and intense heat, the focus is on gentle warmth, comfort and rest.
How Long Does a Ganbanyoku Sauna Session Last?
A standard standalone session lasts 60 minutes. A shorter 30-minute option and a longer 90-minute session are also available. When combined with floating, the sauna session lasts 30 minutes.
Will I Be Alone During the Session?
Yes. The Ganbanyoku Sauna at Folga Floating Centre is located in a separate private room and is designed for one person. This allows you to relax in peace, without other guests.
Do I Need a Swimsuit?
No. You can use the sauna wrapped in a towel or without clothing. A sheet is provided for you to use during the session.
Can Ganbanyoku Sauna Be Combined with Floating?

No special preparation is required. We recommend arriving a few minutes early, avoiding a heavy meal immediately before your visit and allowing enough time after the session so you do not need to rush.
Is Ganbanyoku Sauna Very Hot?
Ganbanyoku Sauna is gentler and calmer than many traditional saunas. It is a good option for people who enjoy warmth but do not want intense overheating.
